東京谷中の小さな住宅である。敷地が旗竿形状であったため、路地からのアプローチが
そのまま螺旋状に巻きつく住宅を考えた。
中心のコアは日常の主な居室となる白く抽象的な空間、ゆるやかに巻きつく螺旋状の空間は、
施主の絵画を飾るギャラリーとなったり、図書室となったり、
小さいけれども豊かな場所を生み出している。また、螺旋状のチューブの上も
テラスとして歩くことが出来、全体として二重の螺旋の空間が絡み合う構成となっている。
This is a small house in Yanaka area in Tokyo. The site is fully surrounded by other houses
and there is only a narrow ally from the front road to the site. The approach starts from the ally,
then gradually goes up and winds itself around the house. The center core is an abstract white cube
and there are a living, a dining, a kitchen, a bathroom and bedrooms. In the wound corridor,
there are a private art gallery, a library, and a studying space for the family. At the same time,
they can use the roof of the corridor as roof gardens and terraces. It means there are
double helix spaces in this house.
